Coral Wedding Inspiration

As a wedding concierge, it is very important to take part in the process of the general design of the wedding, wether the bride wants a designer in charge of the image or she wants to do it herself, it’s important to listen to the couple, understand what they want to communicate and help make the suggestions to make everything work in the best possible way.

With our upcoming beach wedding in September, the bride and me took a trip to find the colors, fabrics and looks of her wedding.

From the beginning, she had told me she wanted the main theme to be the beach, and coral color, the groom wants to add chocolate accents, so to merge these two, we came up with the idea of matching tables.

I personally like to get inspiration from nature, it is the first source of our concepts for colors.

For this wedding, a warm coral reef is the inevitable reference to transform it into a wedding theme:

Our color Palette:

Coral – Chocolate – Ivory

Here is a little rough draft of what we came up with:

Mixing Coral with ivory and acrylic with a chocolate accent for the Bride & Groom table.

All we are missing are the flowers and the turquoise Cancun ocean as the backdrop.

For the table centerpieces we are coming up with a version of a Coral Fish Bowl with sand, candles, sea stars and shells.

Brides of June

We are now in the middle of June, a peak for wedding season and there’s a lot to do this year.

June is a popular month to get married in, mainly because of the nice weather and availiability for people to travel but this tradition goes way back.

The month -June-  is named after the roman goddess Juno, she was the goddess of women, particularly married women. Serving as a guardian to women she oversaw all aspects of a woman’s life, childbirth, and marriage being the primary areas of concern.

In roman belief getting married in June would consequently bring good fortune and would be a symbol of the perfect season to concieve a child.

It also has to do with nature, because there is a wide variety of flowers during this time of the year.
